Susan & Jason - March 15th 2008

Wow, March has really flown by! 

Another great wedding for this month. Susan and Jason had their wedding/reception at the Loew's Hotel in downtown New Orleans. The ceremony was outside in the Piazza D'Italia which is behind the hotel. The sun was just setting as the ceremony started so it made for some great lighting.

Trang & David - March 7th 2008

Trang & David were married at the St Joseph Mission Church in Algiers and the reception was at the Cricket Club on St Charles Ave. The building used to be part of the restaurant in the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Both Trang and David were extremely easy going with photos so I think I did a good job at capturing everyone there. It was cold and windy outside so any portrait photos were done inside. I only managed a few outside wide angle shots of the building because of wind.

Joan & Brian - March 8th 2008

Joan and Brian were married on March 8th 2008 at Mater Dolorosa church, and reception at the Plimsoll Club. Always liked shooting inside Dolorosa as the lighting is pretty good for a church in New Orleans. Plenty of light on the altar, which is rare. The Plimsoll club offers great views of the city of New Orleans plus great atmosphere inside. The Bucktown All Stars rocked the house and even had a special guest performer sitting in for a Rolling Stones tune, the Maid of Honor played drums with them! Thanks to Joan and Brian for giving me pretty much free reign of what to photograph throughout their wedding day.

Jennifer & Peter 03.02.2008

Jennifer and Peter were married on March 2nd 2008. With just the two of them, I had 3 hours to capture moments around New Orleans. It's rare I get to spend that much time with just bride and groom so it was allot of fun to go to so many different locations around the French Quarter. Plus Jennifer wanted to show off that large ring of hers! Can't really blame her :)

New Nikon D3

I've now had the new Nikon D3 digital SLR for just over a week now. Amazing camera and in my opinion the best Nikon digital SLR ever!

My Leica M6 may not be happy though.......

Beth & Aubrey - Wedding 02.16.2008

Wonderful wedding! Little hectic that weekend due to the NBA All-Star Game in town (try to avoid getting 50ft billboards of NBA players in the background of photos!) but everything turned out great! Ceremony was at Immaculate Conception ,reception at the Astor Crowne Plaza. Immaculate must have just cleaned the floors because they were shining like I've never seen before! Made for some awesome reflections.
