Nikon 24mm PC Shift Lens
Just some fun trying out the new Nikon 24mm PC Shift lens. The lens has tilt and shifts like a 4x5/8x10 Large Format camera. These are just a few shots while I was trying it out before using for a job.

PhotoNola 2008 Pt I
PhotoNola 2008 is here and the first weekend went by like a blur. We had the famous jetsetting anti-rockstar photographer from Philadephia, Kyle Cassidy down this weekend. His Armed America book was part of the show. I'll post some more images later, here's a couple from just walking around NOLA with Kyle and Trillian Stars.

Meredith and Mike 09.06.2008
Wonderful wedding day! We began at Meredith and Mike's house with getting ready photos before heading to Christ Church Cathedral on St Charles Ave. The reception took place at Rosys Jazz Hall on Tchoupitoulas.
Meredith and Mike saw each other before the ceremony so we were able to get all the portraits done before hand. I totally understand when a bride and groom do not want to see each other before the ceremony, but it makes it so much easier for photos! And we had over an hour for photographs, which is rare during weddings so we had allot of fun. I love the inside woodwork at Christ Church.
At Rosy's I was able to get in a few pics of Meredith and Mike before the party started. Love those bricks!

Jeanne - Portraits 08.18.08
My attempt at George Hurrell portrait photography, hopefully I did him some justice. His work is amazing considering the type of light sources he was using. Jeanne wanted some portraits before her October wedding, which I will post the wedding images soon.

Jenna and Jason 08.16.08
What a great wedding! Jenna and Jason were married at St Patrick's Cathedral and the reception followed at Gallier Hall. Jason and guys were getting ready at the Loews Hotel while Jenna dressed at her house. Check out the car she drove in! Since I can't be in 2 places at once, the great one and only Mississippi photographer Will Jacks helped me out with the wedding day.
Bucktown All-Stars provided the entertainment, they were awesome as they always are!

Ashley & Sean 08.08.2008
Ashley and Sean's wedding was in Slidell,LA at St Luke's Church and the reception took place at Patton's. We photographed Ashley & Sean's engagement portraits along Lake Pontchartrain in Mandeville. Loved the trees over there! Ashley's bridal portraits were photographed at Patton's.
