Clare and Donald, 2nd Round

Clare and Donald 10.17.08

Earlier this year I had photographed Donald's sister's wedding so it is always fun to see familiar faces at weddings.

We started with wedding portraits at the Orleans Club before heading to Mater Dolorosa for the ceremony. Always great altar lighting at Dolorosa. Colors are amazing inside. Once the ceremony ended, we headed back to the Orleans Club for the reception. Wonderful old house to photograph in, I loved the old furniture we used for the black n white images of Clare and Donald.

Thanks to Clare and Donald and their families for letting me capture their wedding.

Carissa and George, just a few more

Carissa and George 10.11.08

Carissa and George were a great couple to photograph! Smaller weddings sometimes feel more personal, you can get closer to your subject. I loved it.

George and the guys were getting ready at their house, while Carissa was dressing at the Ritz Carlton.

New Orleans has allot of churches, and I had never photographed in Gloria Dei Lutheran before. Turned out to be a great church to capture a wedding in! One could probably photograph in a New Orleans church each day of the year and never get to them all.

The reception was out the Napoleon House in the French Quarter which is where my wife and I were married so it's always great to get a chance to photograph in Napoleon's. The weather was amazing that day, and the moon broke through the clouds as the sun went down. Perfect end to the day.

Elizabeth and Don 10.04.08

Wedding and reception took place at the St Louis XIV Hotel in the French Quarter. The suite Elizabeth was getting ready in was great for window light. Like many NOLA weddings, most guests were from out of town. Yes, Arkansas folks are just as crazy as we are down here.

Another fun wedding to photograph and attend!

Karen and Aaron 09.27.08

Karen and Aaron were married at Maison Dupuy in the French Quarter, reception followed in the Maison Dupuy's courtyard. Daytime weddings are great, so much more light to work with!

After the wedding we went out into the French Quarter to photograph Karen and Aaron together. Lucked out on that Streetcar shot!

Thanks to Karen and Aaron for letting my capture their special day!
